Richard Trammell
(BM Vocal Performance) - is a recent graduate of Texas State University-San Marcos with a degree in Vocal Performance, where he performed extensively with many of their choral ensembles and the Texas State Opera. He was awarded first place at the National Association of Teachers of Singing competition from 2009-2011 at the Freshman, Sophomore, Junior levels. Along with receiving first place at the various levels, Mr. Trammell was selected as the recipient of the Herald Stark Achievement award for outstanding vocal promise.
Mr. Trammell has been invited as a featured guest soloist for the Mid-Texas Symphony and surrounding productions. He has been selected as a member of the National ACDA collegiate honor choir, held in Denver, CO. Mr. Trammell has had the honor of singing the Alma Mater at all recent commencement ceremonies held at Texas State University. Most recently, he was a featured chorus member with the Austin Lyric Opera for their 2013-2014 season.
Mr. Trammell recently received his EC-12 Music certification in Texas. Mr. Trammell is also a member of TMEA and NATS and enjoys serving as a judge and clinician for the surrounding hill country schools. Currently, Mr. Trammell is serving as an executive producer of the 8thannual Beethoven to Broadway-benefit gala. As well as teaching, Richard enjoys performing, photography, volunteering, and spending time with his wife Sara, (Lopez Middle School Head Choir Director) and two dogs, Tucker and Ella.
